Now I’ll be honest, although I’m sure I’m not alone in this, I just don’t get the amount of exercise I really should be doing in a day. I’m either working all day only to come home exhausted with a million things already on my to-do list before bed, or it’s the weekend and I don’t want to spend my few relaxing hours getting sore and sweaty in the worst way possible. However, I made a promise to myself that I would at least attempt at making physical exercise a more regular part of my routine and I’m holding myself to that. So enter this pull-up bar.What I love about this pull up bar is how versatile it is and how easy it is to set up. It has a metal security lock along with a non slip base to ensure that it stays put. It has such a multipurpose use as well for a variety of different workouts such as pull-ups, push-ups, sit ups and even leg lifting. It can even hold up to 440 pounds of weight. The materials are high quality as well making this at home gym experience feel much fancier than it actually is.

My home does not have door frames that allow me to have a pull-up bar than hangs over the frame. I was looking for more of a compression fit when I found this. I worried that it wouldn’t be as secure but it feels like it is. The pads at the end of the bar are slightly angled so that they apply more pressure at the bottom of the pad and create the lift needed so it doesn’t slide. I can attest that it is secure for up to at least 200 lbs and feels like it should be fine for more. This bar, which expands in a door frame is just what I needed. It fits anything between 43-62”. Easy to install once you learn the trick. There are locks at both ends of the bar that, when released, allow the ends of the bar to rotate and extend the length of the bar. Lock them back into place to secure. The bar has a built-in level to get the level correct. The foam grip makes it comfortable on my hands. It works well.

Easy to fix in doorways and handles a lot of weight as my husband and 17 year old son (both over 6ft) are able to comfortably use it. I very much like that it doesn’t have to be a permanent fixture and due to the padding on the edges, it creates a tight fit without damaging the paint / woodwork of my doorways.
