I researched various brands of pull up bars at a wide range of prices. This model from Fitness Maniac suddenly appeared and at a great price with zero reviews. I decided to take a chance because of the price and made in the USA. I have no regrets. Quality of materials and build is impeccable and strong. I purchased my own mounting hardware because I installed this into oak beams in my barn gym. There is no flexion/movement when I put my entire 220 pounds on the bar. It appears that this unit is no longer available on Amazon and I wonder if I purchased the only one that was marketed through the site because of the low price under $100. I can’t imagine that any of the other brands would be of better quality for more than twice the price. It should be noted that there was no knurling on the bars but that is nothing that a little grip tape at key points can’t fix.
